Joe Battaglia created the New York Big Band in 1996. His intention was to reintroduce the Big Band Swing of the 30's and 40's with a more contemporary feel for today. The result was the enthusiastic response of Generation X. Joe hand picked musicians with impeccable reputations and experience.
Band members performed with Tito Puente, Count Basie, Les Elgart, Stan Kenton, performed in Broadway musicals such as, Sound of Music, Chicago, Cabaret, to name a few. The result is the tremendous demand for the New York Big Band.
